Today's the day ....................... know your number

Saw my first new-born lambs of the year today and thought what a freezing cold and hostile environment they must think they've arrived in.

These ones were lucky though because they belong to a relatively cosy, low-lying, sheltered farm. Goodness knows how the ones up in the Lake District Fells will be coping.

I liked it that lamb No 16 was keeping close to Mrs Ewe 16. He/she has got the right idea very quickly ..........................
