Flower Friday: Sunlight through the petals

A shot of the Japanese Anemones in the early morning sunlight today. These flowers really brighten things up at this time of year, but they are now busy trying to annexe every flower bed that we have, if only we would let them.

We have our son and his wife joining us for the weekend.  Sadly Katie has managed to twist her ankle and is not very mobile, so I don't expect we will be going far afield. It will be lovely to see them as they have not been to stay with us for a while, what with one thing and another ....
