Rowan tree waiting for autumn

For me, this is a splendid rowan tree which grows outside the local GP practice. It always looks good against a blue sky. It did not feel like autumn today, it wasn't hot, but pleasantly warm. There were three male youth football matches going on nearby. In each match, one of the teams was wearing Caledonian Thistle strips. (All hard to photograph because of fences.) A number of parents were out watching. I wonder why there were no girls teams. Is football still a male preserve up here?
