What else do you do when it's snowy outdoors - bake!

I thought I'd try out a different chocolate cake recipe - this one had lots more chocolate in it, plus ground almonds and whipped egg whites. It tastes fine, but a lot more fuss than my standard recipe for no greater outcome. So I don't think I'll be making it again.

The creamy vegetable spelt we had with dinner on the other hand was certainly tasty, although the family food jury is only just in a majority thumbs up situation.

The upside of the cold snap is being able to have the log burner going without sitting in vest and shorts :-)
