Bike ride

A huge ebike ride for us today and this was one of the spectacular views along the way.

Set off from home and went up to the top of the Col de La Croix via Coufin. We then took one of the tourist office’s new routes down to Les Diablerets then joined a new route on the other side of the valley before taking another route new to us back up the Col and home again. It was great to cycle new routes and see different scenery and new viewpoints.

Early on in the ride we saw farmers preparing cows for the ceremonial ‘descent of the cows’ when the cows leave their summer pastures. The cows were being fitted with the huge ceremonial bells rather than their usual ones. Not a job I would like to do as there were a few reluctant cows.

Down to Montreux this evening for an Indian meal at our favourite restaurant with friends. It was a warm evening so we wondered by the lake afterwards, soaking up the atmosphere.
