Reindeer Herding (in a camper van!)

We woke up this morning with ‘Arry the camper van quivering in the wind, and horizontal drizzle coating one side of our home! Low cloud, or mist, restricted visibility to about 200 meters, and the temperature was just 1C above freezing both outside and inside our camper van! Fortunately our excellent bed was warm and cosy and once we fired up the heating system it quickly warmed up in the van.
Our bodies seem to have gone into camping mode and once it warmed up to 12C I felt it was too warm for a jumper. Interesting!
After breakfast we drove down off the plateau to the next valley, and took a walk to a lovely waterfall.
Then we started the drive towards home on the coast. We had to slow down several times for small groups of reindeer, and this group decided to walk along the road in front of the van, rather than running off into the forest. After a few meters they deigned to let us by.
So now it’s the final night of our longest trip so far in ‘Arry. 6 nights of wild camping and several lovely walks, interspersed with great drives along roads lined with autumn colours. We are camped by a lake in a spot organised by a local community group with an earth toilet, fireplace, picnic tables, and benches. They ask (and will get) a small donation to help them keep this place available for all!
