23 on the 23rd

today is my birthday.

for some reason, it is the first time in years and years that i have cared about my birthday. i dont know why. i was just really happy to be born, to celebrate life, and there is so much to be excited about. so much the future holds, so much to be explored and learned.

also, ive felt 23 for a long time. so its nice its actually true now. 23 feels adult. i dont know, i feel good about 23.

i never thought i would celebrate my 23rd birthday with my two best friends from high school. but i did. and it was brilliant.

it was a perfectly celebratory day.
