Brighton
I was a bit ‘trigger happy’ as lockdown began lifting and booked tickets and trips to make up for the last 18 months. This weekend was a trip to Brighton to see Frank Skinner at the Dome. We worked out we had last visited Brighton around four years ago when No.2 was at University there. I didn’t like it much then and my opinion hadn’t really improved. Parking is expensive, it’s noisy and busy and dirty in places and it’s a ‘young’ place’ but it does have a good vibe. We had a long walk along the front when we arrived and the beach was busy and vibrant. The sun was shining and we sat with a beer watching the world go by. Frank was funny and entertaining (but as with all live comedians) dropped the F bomb too frequently. The hotel was ok - in a reasonable location but no breakfast included - in fact no reception just a key pad on the door! So we have booked breakfast tomorrow morning along the road at The Artist residence - makes a one night stay an expensive treat! Might drive home next time.
