Fun day

We had breakfast in Brighton (6/10 … marked down because of the under done toast.  How can you charge £4.00 for two slices of warm bread?  Ok it was sourdough, what else?  But it had barely been shown the toaster before it was served up!).  After a quick walk we drove to Bucks for BBQ with No.1’s future in laws.  The rain was lashing down and the motorway was awful as the M4 was shut.  However as we arrived the sky cleared and we had a great afternoon.  Met Nana Dot who was delightful and also sister Nat and the new baby.  We had met in-laws before but this time also met some family friends and James’ school mates (BBQ was to celebrate his birthday).  Managed to sit in the garden till around 7.00 chatting and having fun.  Dot had prepared a quiz, which we won and there was also a badminton tournament which we didn’t win.  Such lovely friendly, welcoming  people.  Delighted that No.1 is marrying into a family which have good family values.  Happy day.
