The mind of non-attachment
Cittaviveka is a Pali term meaning 'the mind of non-attachment'. It is also the name of the Buddhist Monastery down the road from me in West Sussex, the first forest-sangha monastery in Britain.
I remember as a child growing up in Midhurst when the monastery first opened in 1979. There was much excitement locally at the time at such an exotic addition to the area but over the years people have become accustomed to seeing the monks and nuns around.
Thanks to fellow local blipper SueScape sharing some of her trips there I felt inspired to finally go along and have a look for myself today and found it to be a lovely welcoming and serene place. This buddha is in the grounds.
