Beach gathering

We continued the celebrations this afternoon on the beach with the weather gods on our side, thank goodness for weather apps. A lackadaisical affair that worked out well with friends arriving with their dogs and or swimming costumes and a picnic, we brought along a few bottles and a lovely cake made by P.

(Taken last night: Sadly the light was too bright to capture the detail on the cake, if I can free up a few extras I will post a pic showing little bows, found by fellow blipper boomerang, the same colour as the bridesmaid dresses all those years ago).

In one of the extras you can see the fire pit brought along by H and A, it’s lovely and adds a certain something.

A quiet evening, our friend leaves tomorrow and we thought a roast chicken dinner was called for. We are now eating the gorgeous ‘mademoiselle macaron’ that arrived in the post on Friday.

I can’t think we will experience another celebration such as this,
thank you for your comments, stars and hearts yesterday, I think it’s time to come down to earth although we have another celebratory meal planned on Friday. We can now look forward to meeting friends, some of whom we haven’t seen for a few months, and catch up on life.
