Convoy exceptionnel x 2

Sunshine and a good chat with woman from Belgium in a MH, she was heading for Croatia for a couple weeks with her boxer dog, he sat proudly in the passenger seat.

Later it was necessary to service the van, (empty and refill water etc) involving a stop at an aire about 11.30 CET, nearly finished and a voice said ‘Bonjour, or hello if you prefer’, a British person who lives in Germany on holiday in France. A good chat with a few things in common when he had to go back to the van to try and pick up BBC TV in readiness for 11.00 BST. We swopped parking places and that worked well for him, it’s about getting the satellite lined up. Another chat with them both and we headed off looking for a supermarket. Just as we were leaving he gave me their email address, I spotted his surname and now wondering if he was brought up in Gloucestershire.

Tonight our chosen camp site is a trout farm, we are the only van here and all fishermen have left for the day. It is very peaceful. After a brisk walk for an hour, a chat on the phone with our housesitter we played a few games of dominoes.
