Bertie at the beach

The Golden Wedding Anniversary celebration continued with a picnic at Calgary beach which included fizz and cake. We were very fortunate that the weather was kind to us and the sun shone. Some brave souls actually went swimming! This was Bertie’s first visit to the beach and he was fascinated by the sand and the sea, although he beat a hasty retreat when the waves of the incoming tide rushed in to cover his paws (extra).

Apologies for my lack of comments over the past week. While I was away there was little spare time for keeping up with Blip but I will do my best to do better this week.
