Meet Dippy the Dinosaur

Its an odd picture but try as I might I could not get a good shot.

Dippy is currently living in Norwich Cathedral, he has been rampaging around the land for a couple of years and will shortly be returning home. His natural habitat is in the Natural History Museum where he towered over everyone coming through the main doors. And this size thing was our problem. 

We both recall taking the kids to the museum and being greeted by this huge skeleton as we walked in. However in the cathedral he did not overpower, he did not even fill the space available. He has always looked thin and a bit underweight but he seems to have shrunk. I assume the cathedral must be much longer and taller than the museum and that is what created this impression. We were a little underwhelmed by the centre piece but the rest of the exhibition was very good.

We did look at the cathedral with new eyes and I think, once Dippy has moved on, more visits with the camera might be possible
