Sporting Triumph
It was a busy day on the sporting front today!
First it wsas my turn. The Falkirk Victoria Harriers organise the "Round The Houses" 10k race in Grangemouth. The weather this morning was frightful - cold (it didn't snow during my run, but was snowing as I left the stadium), and a strong easterly wind. To my surprise and delight, I managed a PB for 10k, 45:54. The GPS track for the race can be seen at http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/169650073
Not to be outdone, my son then went and hit a hole-in-one at golf! He was in the final winter medal at his club, Falkirk Golf Club.
Tonight was the prize-giving, and there was a prize for "shot of the year". One of the other club members was due to collect the trophy, for his hole in one. Then Cameron came in today having achieved the same amazing feat - so the club quickly made up a trophy from scorecards, until a "real" one could be produced!
I don't know about Cameron, I really like the scorecards one!
Well done Cameron, and thanks to Uncle John for all the coaching!
