About to Bale

This needs waffling before it is baled.  The small amount of straw is indicative of the very low rainfall since March.  The quad bike has been abandoned by the farmer who went to get the tractor.  In case anyone needs to know the Thursday morning ferry from Stromness has been delayed by weather / tide conditions.  Therefore we have the pleasure of accommodating Willie for one more day.


I cut the grass for the last time this year and collected some marrows from the poly tunnel.


We have been asked out to a dinner party tonight in Kirkwall.  We are arguing about who will wear the cummerbund or the feather boa.
