A great day on the Marsh…

… Romney Marsh.

For various reasons we’ve not been on a cycle ride this year until TODAY! The stars aligned themselves to provide a warm day, plenty of sunshine with little wind all coinciding with a day off from caring duties with no other appointments or commitments. Once in a Blue Moon.

A thirty mile circular trip from West Hythe wending our way through the Marsh heading back along the sea wall. Coffee and scone at the Bucket and Spade cafe in Dymchurch where we also procured an egg mayonnaise baguette to take away for lunch.

I took advantage of a high tide for perhaps a final swim (extra) of the summer. I was the only one in the water!

As has become a tradition we ended the ride at the Hop Fuzz brewery at Unit 1 in West Hythe for a well earned pint on a still warm evening.
