Reflecting

I’ve got some time off work this week so we took the opportunity to walk at Prinsted this morning. It felt like high summer!

We took the back route across the fields to the sea - it has the feel of the French countryside with its golden corn and lines of high trees. Then we wandered along the shore, stopping to pick blackberries, and then on to the landward side of Thorney Island. Here we treated ourselves to tea and chocolate cake whilst we sat and watched sailing boats come and go, dogs swimming and the odd kayaker paddling across the small bay.

Wonderful to have the time to just sit and take in the peace and the sunshine and to all be together (Andy, Merlin and I).
