Worcester Day 5

It was the last day of our home swap holidays.  Emma, Andy and Raff headed north from Devon whilst Colin travelled in the opposite direction and we went out for a walk and coffee before leaving for home, which was delightfully delayed as E&A arrived home as we were still packing the car.  

We took a walk along the river path to Diglis Basin, the marina area for barge boats in Worcester.   From there we walked back to the Royal Worcester Museum, famous for their pottery and porcelain.  The museum was closed today but the resident cafe, Good Roots, was open and did a very nice cup of coffee.  

As we were walking along the river bank I saw the reflection of Glover's Needle, the spire of the medieval church of St. Andrew.  The church was demolished some time back, but the tower and spire remains.

A train was crossing the railway bridge as we walked past, see extras.
