Ferry to Newfoundland!

It's been a very exciting day....we boarded the Ferry around 10.15 am...and once settled in, i explored the ferry...it is huge!!!    For the first couple of hours you could see land, Cape Breton Island and a small part of PEI, then pretty soon there was nothing....just sea - blue upon blue....pretty awesome!

The crossing is about 6 hours, so i walked around, read....watched some downloaded netflix stuff....walked some more!   Finally we arrived.

Once we disembarked, we had to find somewhere to eat before heading to our first airbnb.    Most places were very busy....lots of folks coming off the ferry into a small town and places to eat are not abundant.   We finally had to settle for a fast food place, got our meal to go, got out the wine and sat in the car and enjoyed the rather strange view!

Driving on roads that are totally unfamiliar and having to trust googlemaps etc., was a bit stressful, we knew our little cabin was in a rather remote spot, finally down a gravel road we found it around 9.30 pm.   No idea what the view is like....but tomorrow morning will reveal it to us!

Lovely to be in Newfoundland for the very first time.   I loved being on the ferry, mind you the weather was rather spectacular....not sure i'd enjoy it as much if it was wild and crazy weather!!!
