Gallardia

Ingeborg (bless her and her energy) set the challenge of 'colours of the season' for Abstract Thursday.
Our friends were back for an early lunch before heading away to a family funeral.  A crisp green salad with tomatoes and avocado along with a (if I say so myself) delicious vegetable quiche served with fresh breads. Followed by coffee and sultana cake.

This afternoon Doug and I dragged ourselves out for a walk in the stunning spring weather, then because we're both feeling jaded from all the goings on these last few days we sat outside in the sunshine and relaxed.  

This smallish sunflower (or gallardia) is in a pot on the patio, served me well for the challenge.

Thanks for popping in recently, I've been quiet on Blip the last week, been busy before and during the socialising.  Life will quieten down now.

Covid Stats - 15 new cases, total cases 1123, 15 in hospital, three in ICU....we don't seem to be making any progress in eliminating Delta.
