Measurement

I had to spend a bit of time this morning contacting Mum and Dad’s home insurers, and then registering my power of attorney so I can sort out what needs sorting.

After that I needed a break, so took a brief trip out.

In our modern age there are lots of ways of measuring things, many of which do not make a lot of sense. Area is often measured by “ football pitches”, or at the large scale by “the size of Wales”. Volume is often measured by “double decker buses”, This is the first time I have seen length measured by “ducks”. I assume these are “mallard lengths”, “teal lengths” would be very different.
