Herbaceous Border

So today’s challenges …..

J headed off to the hospital - a bit fed up, it’s become a daily thing these last two weeks. I hung around at home until decorator T arrived. A few things needed sorting out with him. I then headed out to Arley.

It may be late September, but the gardens - and especially the herbaceous borders - are still looking really good. It may not be obvious from this image, but in the distance can just be seen some of the preparations for the Great British Food Festival which is happening this coming weekend. We will not be going (far too many people).

Returning home T had left and I opened all the doors and windows to ventilate the house. We are still having to take great care and shield, notwithstanding what everyone else seems to be doing (and Covid rates in our part of the world remain very high). My first priority then was sorting out a new tumble dryer for Mum and Dad. Their old one has stopped working, it’s an essential piece of kit for the lady who cleans, washes and irons for them. After that, a few other key tasks.

J returned late. “What a week” I said. She pointed out - correctly - that I say that every week. “What a week” is a weekly thing, I think we want things to be a bit more uneventful.
