Autumn at Alnwick Garden

We had a camera club outing to Alnwick Garden this evening - 15 of us went on it. The intention was that we'd have the run of the place for a couple of hours after its usual closing time but it didn't quite work out that way: the poor chap from Alnwick Garden staff who arranged it had ended up double-booking it by mistake so there was also quite a big gathering for an African wedding there - and they were naturally expecting to have sole use of the place too! No doubt they'd paid a lot more than we had so the staff asked us to confine ourselves to a smallish part of the garden where we wouldn't show up on the wedding photos - therefore most of our time was spent in the walled garden area which the wedding folk weren't using. So we couldn't take any photos of the cascade - but never mind, I've photographed that before (in the extra), and most of the rest of us had too. And not having seen much of each other in person for the last 18 months (mostly only on Zoom) we had a fab chinwag which continued for a while at the local chippy later.

There were some lovely colours: I particularly liked the Acer in the main blip, and the flower in the extra - I've no idea what it is, so if anyone knows then please tell me. (I tried an ICM of the Acer for Abstract Thursday but it didn't look that good, so I've not done an AT blip this week.)
