Sewing cabinet

My grandfather made this sewing machine cabinet years ago.  I tried to put my sewing machine into it, but the mechanism for the cabinet did not match the mechanism for my sewing machine.  After talking to several people about adjusting the cabinet, I finally found that one of my neighbors thought he could do it.  And he did!  Now the machine is safely placed in the cabinet.  I really should refinish it, at least the top of it.  
My grandfather also made the little side cabinet for sewing supplies.
