SUGARBUSH

These lovely proteas known affectionately as Sugarbush (Protea Repens) were a source of sugar for the early settlers and are immortalized in the folk song translated:
" Sugarbush I want you so! (x3)
What will your Mamma have to say ?"
The flowers were picked by my sister Alice in the Baviaan's Kloof and will be a lovely memory of their visit.
The jug was bought for my mother by my father when they were on honeymoon.
