Ms Talulah Clutterbuck
Catie is hard at work making a spectacular Cosplay outfit for one of her friends. It needs to be finished, packaged and sent off to Scotland in time for an all too rapidly approaching Comic Convention. Our little house has consequently become home to a mountain of chiffon, cotton and ruffles in neon pink and turquoise and blue, a mountain that shudders and moves in landslides and eruptions throwing forth an occasional limb belonging to the seamstress entombed at its heart. The machine gun rattle of a sewing machine competes with music courtesy of Spotify and both are trumped by the frequent and inevitable expletives of industry. In the last two days the chiffon in particular has undergone a transformation from tight packed, artillery shell like rolls into lava streams of colour and flounce, 150 yards of eye hurting glamour being forced into the shape of a single skirt.
Jake and I have also undergone a transformation. As the colourful coils have spilled over on top of us we fought hard to resist but in the end we surrendered and allowed our inner drag queens to be brought high kicking and screaming into the light. Together we have brought forth our new muse, Ms Talulah Clutterbuck, isn't she just divine!
In the interests of blinding as few people as possible, Ms Talulah has chosen to debut on Blip in a sober monochrome, however for the brave or foolhardy colour images of the Diva are available for private viewing at this discrete link.
