More "Weeds"?

Curiously "Weed"s top definition was given as:-
"A token of mourning, as a black band worn on a man's hat or sleeve.
The black mourning clothes of a widow."

Personally I prefer:-
"A weed is a plant considered undesirable in a particular situation, "a plant in the wrong place"
WHICH any way you look at them is correct.
The Japanese Anemone, Anemone Japonica - which, I'm told, hails from China dates years back to when this area was a Border.
Evening Primrose - the same.  I knew it as Oenothera, further search yields a possible "biennis" to add to it.

The Romneya Coulteri as I've only ever known it is now a good 4-6' away from where it was planted. 
However it once snuck around the end of the Pond, under a gravel path, a Fence, a 2-3' cement slab path to emerge in the neighbour's Lawn. Seems it may be:-
"Romneya coulteri, the Coulter's Matilija poppy or California tree poppy, is a perennial species of flowering plant in the poppy family Papaveraceae"  Didn't know it actually WAS a Poppy?  :¬ (O
When you hear of an insect shortage, isn't it an odd coincidence that all three have an insect on - IF you can spot the wee black Aphid on the Anemone?
NO idea of the middle one BUT the hover fly IS a "Goody"
Assembled for a totally different reason - THEN - I though "Why the hell not?"

The Romneya is, arguably the dearest single, bare, stick, in a Plant-pot we ever bought in a garden centre.  Must be well over 10 yrs, cost us either £4 or £6 as I recall.
