Fragile Fungi......

Once I'd been round and fed cattle, filled up the grain dryer with oats as the wind had dropped a bit from yesterday. By tonight I'd managed 2 loads of oats and one load of barley ,about 36 tons. A lot to go yet though.
Jamie and Robbie turned up with their 360 digger to have a go at finding the problem with the water supply.
After a bit of digging they discovered that the spring seems to have found its way to a drain so isn't rising to the water tank's collection chamber. The next problem is how to restore the water table level so it flows to the tank. Hopefully there is the making of a plan. We will see how that pans out on Monday.
Littlemiss and Mrs F were down at the village for an event in the old churchyard. They have been involved with a project over the summer researching the old graves and surrounding history. Quite interesting to see all the folk that have lived, worked and died on this and all the other surrounding farms. There is an interesting gravestone for a farmer that was here that I remember taking a wax rubbing of as a kid at primary school. These days you would just take a photo with your phone !
Spotted this pale blue mushroom type thing while feeding the cows. No idea what it is though. Will have to look it up in one of my books.
