Rioja, Razor Clams and Rabas

Another beautiful day today weather-wise. Unfortunately it’s not set to last as cloud is forecast for the next few days.
After a morning on the beach, we treated ourselves to our first proper meal out. Our drinks weren’t all wine, after our previous experience of lunchtime drinking, but tinto de verano, which is a mix of red wine and lemon soda. Rabas is what calamares are known as locally. Our boys love them. Once when son no 3 was a toddler and having a tantrum, I pushed him through the streets of the town in his buggy with him shrieking ‘I want rabbits’ repeatedly! The rabas were superb. Mr P’s appetite is definitely on the way back.
