Blue skies and stripey knitting

Day started with gorgeous blue skies and sunshine. Had the tiniest amount of rain this afternoon. Hoping for more. On the knitting front, continuing with my sampler and much prefer the second pattern from the green yarn up. Especially using a different colour for each 4 row pattern. Have been testing some of my stash to see which yarns suit this and which don't. 4-ply and below are too thin, DK and above are just right although super chunky is a bit of a chonk. Just need to get an extra long circular needle, a colour stripe pattern worked out and I'm all set!
