Common Ringed Plover #87
After a VERY rainy morning, it turned out to be another gloriously sunny afternoon.
We headed over to Craster to see if we could find some purple sandpipers, but there were none to be found, just a few dunlin in the harbour. So we went back to Boulmer to see if the sanderlings were about again as I love them. But once again we were disappointed, so instead, we have another little wader that has not been blipped this year yet - the gorgeous common ringed plover. They are only tiny but there were plenty of them about, mostly juveniles.
Will have to try somewhere else for the sandpipers or sanderlings tomorrow morning before the rain comes again! I have a few ideas :)
