We Went to Kent

Traveling east on our way to our continental departure and our stay for the night is at The Hop Farm near Tonbridge. I went to University in Kent and enjoyed the reminders of the different feel to the county with many oast houses (see extra) and attractive countryside - it is often referred to as ‘The Garden of England. It is called Kent after the ancient Celtic tribe that used to inhabit this area of England. After a short mile walk by the river Medway we sat and watched this sunset with a glass of wine and behind us we were shadowed by some spectacular cloud formations - see other extra. Heading into London for most of the day tomorrow before departing for Folkestone.
