There be dragons!

After yesterday’s fun trip to Haworth, Corinthian and I caught  buses to Saltaire to watch some of the Dragon Boat racing events.  Not overly busy, but lots of stalls, a small fairground, donkey rides, and some wonderful looking food kiosks.  We watched some of the races and then moved off to do a recce of a potential future Bus Pass Walk.  A nice walking route, but after walking up a steepish hill then down a slippery section of renovated pathway we came across a steep climb which made us decide it was one to miss for our group. Interesting mill dam along the way though - not sure where the original mill must have been. Reaching the canal we decided that we would walk back to Bingley.  We missed the bus back to the village by about a minute, so we went to The Loft for lunch as on a Sunday the buses are only every hour.  After catching the next bus home we called in at the local and that rounded off a very good day.
