Colours of the Pilbara

Here are some typical colours of the Pilbara. Mostly desert, with a few lush oases in the National Park sections.

The road sign is a timely reminder that while it’s dry for 9 months of the year, it gets flooding rains in wet season.

Extra: Did I mention the termite mounds yet? There’s way more termite mounds than people in the Pilbara. Some of them can get huge!
