Blue with cold

It's still perishing - brrrr. I saw a coal tit on the feeder this morning, but I wasn't quick enough with the camera. The blue tit stuck around for a little while, though.

It's been a steady-paced day, but there's not much to tell.

The neighbours upstairs are away and the person looking after the flat and their cat has to let her out by the communal front door since the window lock is stuck (normally, the cat upstairs uses the window as a human-operated cat flap). Since I'm on the ground floor, I'm the first to be alerted to the cold, impatient cat outside wanting to come in. It was quite hilarious with Whisky tonight - Evie miaowing at our window and Whisky staring at her in sheer indignation. When I let her in, she decided to come into my flat rather than hers. This wouldn't have happened if Whisky hadn't opened the door that I'd pulled to (so he has only himself to blame for inviting her in). Evie had a good old nose around while Whisky hit behind the bicycles. It was only when she went into the bedroom that he shot out and started stalking her. I managed to herd her out and into her flat, then found Whisky hiding behind the piano and not talking to me. Good grief.
