Coventry

I spent a lot of time in Coventry when I was growing up. I was back in the city centre today for the first time in many years. It's changed a lot and seems quite run down, which is sad. I guess the loss of most of the car industry has had a big impact. To me Coventry has always represented the optimism and the egalitarianism of postwar urban design and planning. A city built for the people. When did Coventry City win the FA cup? 1987? Seems a long time ago now.
