Spring on Arran

No, I know I'm not taking the photo in Arran, but the Arran hills are currently as white as I've ever seen them, with obviously deep snow in the corries and the black of the ridges clearly showing. I wouldn't have been surprised to see a glacier or two emerging from the foot of the snowfields! We were avoiding the full force of the wind by walking at Toward, though it was full in our faces for the last quarter of a mile back to the car. There was lying snow in the fields and even, absurdly, in hollows of the rocks on the shore.
