View from the ford
A 'pre-meeting' of the Digital Inclusion Group this morning took rather more time than expected, and wasn't quite as Covid-safe as I would have liked - a dozen or so people in a small, stuffy room with inadequate ventilation. And that was only volunteers and organisers, the participants will be there next time. Hmmm.
Accompanied MrM to the garage this afternoon. He's off to Cheshire tomorrow to a memorial service, a round trip of 300+ miles, and was hoping for a full tank of diesel in the van before starting out. He went to the local garage yesterday to discover that they are limiting sales to £25 worth of fuel, so he put a bit more in today.
Next stop was Haugh Head ford, to see if any fish were jumping. No! The water was too low despite the recent rain; so low that we could walk across the ford rather than crossing by the footbridge. Most of the water was being channelled through the fish ladder to flow under the ford. (The extra shows the water flowing out on the other side of the ford.)
After a birthday tea for MrM, a relaxing evening in front of the TV and a birthday dram or two.
