Craw with a haw
In the Burren for a couple of days. Dull grey day today, windy with showers. A rook was eating berries (haws) in a whitethorn (hawthorn) tree in the garden this morning and I got this blip of a craw with a haw in its beak. Whitethorn are known as fairy trees in Ireland and it is considered bad luck to interfere with them, roads have been re-routed to avoid cutting down fairy trees.
