Cosmos
I was busy looking after our grandson Lucas today and the weather forecast wasn't good. We didn't really have much rain, just lots of wind. A quick trip out this morning to a local playground and back for play and lunch.
In the afternoon we headed out in strong winds with his trike. I had thought we would only last about 15 minutes but he seemed amused with the wind and the leaves and plants swaying around. I decided to head for the playground at the beach and invited a friend to come along as we passed her house. We made it to the playground and then headed to the flag on the seafront. He was happily running towards the flag but when I decided to go up onto the beach front by the flag it was extremely windy and the waves were very rough. It was too much for him so we headed for a more sheltered walk along the estuary. He hadn't been along here before so that was something different for him. When we made it to White Bridge we had to walk back along the road where all the construction vehicles are working on the Otter Restoration Project. It was very muddy but Lucas was very happy to watch the enormous tractors carrying trailers full of wood chipping back and forth along the road. We had to pull in so they could pass. By now it was starting to lightly rain but he wasn't complaining. We got home about 1.5 hours later and he was very happy to have a good play indoors with his toys before tea and bedtime.
A quick snap of the Cosmos flowers that had fallen down the other day, they have perked up well now.
