Still Life With Pul Biber, Aylesford

Managed to get a day off work today but my boss only agreed to it at the very last minute so couldn't really plan anything but have just had a relaxing day and even fitted in an afternoon nap! It certainly felt better this morning to not have to get up in the dark and wearily drag myself on to my usual train. The trains are getting busier and busier yet fewer people are wearing masks. The inverse law of idiots -  the fuller the carriages the more risks some people are willing to take with their and other's health. Mystifying.
In other news, my brother finally managed to get some petrol. Two or three weeks ago this would not even have been raised in conversation yet now it seems almost miraculous that he managed to get some. We live in strange, chaotic times not helped by a totally useless, out of their depth government.
Today's image is me trying to be creative. So it's an old vase smeared with mango chutney and covered in pul biber. The black "void" at the centre is made of my work lanyard (minus it's pass) and the background is a cotton dressing gown (not mine, in case you were wondering!).
