The Mighty Bunnies

Tomorrow is the rugby league grand final. Not a sport I follow but it’s lockdown, local team the South Sydney Rabbitohs are the underdogs, and “The Phantom Rabbitoh” has been stencilling big white bunnies across the club’s heartland.

This afternoon’s stroll didn’t result in any stencil spottings, but a few supporters had gathered at Erskineville Oval for “picnics”, singing and cries of “Go the bunnies”. It was the team’s home ground decades ago.

Extra is Joe-around-the-corner’s bunny, in pride of place.
