Loch Awe

Backblip: We headed to Loch Awe on Sunday to stay in a lovely apartment called "Kilchurn Suites", it was very comfortable with a beautiful bathroom as big as the living room! On the way we had the delight of dropping in to my oldest friend Alison L-C who I met in Balloch when we were both 6. My Dad was from Oban and hers was from Mull and they both worked at the Post Office and became friends. I asked Alison if we could pop in for coffee and we were delighted to discover her dear Mum would be there because she would be celebrating her 90th Birthday. What a treat to see Jean and also Alison's sister and brother-in-law too. We thoroughly enjoyed some coffee Birthday cake and Alison packed us up a "play-piece" of millionaires shortbread and rocky road which we enjoyed over the next couple of days in the apartment with our tea.
The picture is us with the Loch Awe Hotel in the background.
