Scarecrow Chris Packham- Top Work!

While we were away, some of  our friends in our local wildlife conservation group were creating  an entry for the annual Oliver's Battery Scarecrow Competition. They've kept us updated on their  activities over the past week and here is the finished result: a straw- filled Chris Packham! As you will note, he is accompanied by Nancy the Poodle,  a (fruit!)pie  chart , binoculars, bird ID book, Ramones album, a sparkle jar, and a collection of assorted furry creatures!  He is a local hero, coming  from Southampton, and living now in the New Forest, so  a photo of his doppelganger was emailed to him, which he said  was brilliant- Top Work - and he put it on social media, gaining  thousands of "likes" . 
There were 36 excellent  scarecrow entries in total and CP didn't win (beaten by Burglar Bill!) but he did get a Well Done  rosette and, of course, is now famously on blipfoto.
