The anniversary candlesticks

Someone asked to see the candlesticks #2 daughter and husband made on their anniversary treat blacksmithing, so here they are.

I’m reading The Fair Botanists (full of affectation and adjectives but I’ll finish it) concurrently with Black Widow, a well-written thriller by Christopher Brookmyre.

Both daughters are cross with the rugby coaches the children had today. #2 daughter because the 7 and unders were hanging around doing passing practice when it was so cold, (she thought they should have had a good run about to get warm) and #3 because the coach didn’t seem aware that the boys in the team rarely passed to the 2 girls, one of whom - not Ella - is really good. Nathaniel got some tries and James was player of the day. (They play at different places but might all meet when the have match days).

I really should go out for a walk but it is cold and wet.
