WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Breakfast in Bed!

A rarity but most enjoyable. Thanks Frank ;-)
We’ve had sunshine, rainbows, stormy skies, torrential rain and gusty winds.

After breakfast I gave the bedroom a thorough clean, changed the bed linen and damp dusted with a drop of washing up liquid and citronella oil in the water. Smells lovely and fresh!

Then I did my Inktober drawing. The prompt was ‘Vessel’.

Our Irish Grandaughter Isla is 10 today. We phoned to wish her a Happy Day. She had a Bake Off party (messy! 8-[])

Things are not good up in Airdrie. Amelia is a whole lot better now but Sabrina and John feel rubbish and poor little Lucy even worse. She is in so much pain from the blisters inside and round the outside of her mouth. Sabrina called NHS 24 and spoke to a doctor who prescribed antibiotic liquid and a numbing spray. She wouldn’t take it though because it’s so sore and they had to do it by force which really upset them all. Sabrina and Lucy both crying. Lucy has hardly eaten or drunk anything for 3 days. A bit of ice cream, and a few sips of smoothie. She is really hungry but can’t eat. Hopefully the antibiotics will start work overnight. This virus is a nasty one. Apparently it is an e-coli infection but can be spread by droplet too, so coughing. Hand washing after the toilet is paramount and Sabrina has always been hot on that as I drummed it into my kids from an early age as my Mum did with me.

I watched the first of a 5 part environmental series on BBC1 called ‘Earthshot Prize’ Repairing our Planet. Our planet in such a dire state but this programme gave me some hope. If you missed it I would strongly urge you to watch it. Some really promising and inspiring projects around the world.

An extra of poor Lucy and my Inktober entry.

Goodnight Blippers. Thanks for all the concerned comments, stars and hearts over the last couple of days.

:-)X
