Don't panic?!?

It's been nearly three weeks since I last filled up my car. 

A combination of not having to go to work or having to provide a taxi service for my kids meant that I'd probably been one of the privileged few who were able to withstand the current fuel crisis (that the government says we're not having!) without having a - literal! - breakdown.

I've certainly counted my blessings that I've been able to pass the countless 'No fuel' signs without that rush of terror that I'm sure many people have experienced, plus I've been able to avoid most of the roads blocked by petrol station queues by using the back routes.

Today was the day, though, when I really needed to make sure I had enough fuel, in the unlikely event I hear about a job this week. The third petrol station I went to this morning not only had both types of fuels but no queue and I was straight in and out in no time.

I got very lucky! Fingers crossed this ridiculous situation is resolved soon...
