Shaggy Find
After a couple of days of rain and relative inactivity, I headed over to Virginia Water to view the cascade and see whether I could find any fungi.
The cascade was in full spate after 2 days of heavy rain (extra), and although few and far between, the fungi are beginning to appear. This clump of shaggy scalycaps caught my eye; not only are their caps shaggy and scaly (hence the common name), but so are their stipes, or stems. A nice find for my image collection.
