Penton Hook Lock

I took a trip out to a garden centre just outside Staines which had a couple of outlet stores I wanted to visit, though later my flexible friend was not happy!

Checking the map, I saw that the River Thames was just a 10mins walk away, and a new area to discover in Penton Hook Island with its series of weirs and a lock.  With some warm weather and a bit of sun I had a lovely walk before returning to the garden centre for refreshments and heading home.
